ahhhhh well maybe this means something... maybe its really not as "bad" as you all assume? The only sources there are are news reports of bad things that have happened, many anecdotes but most of all, they are merely hypotheticals... interesting...

Maybe you need to change the topic of your essay?

Thats one hell of a thesis by the way "hitchhiking is not good". If only i could still get away with something like that...

I would write "why many people believe hitchhiking is very dangerous while there are many people who still hitchhike"

By the way your not gonna find stats on hitchhiking really. sorry

You need to ask this question: "Is catching a ride at a bus stop on the side of the road the same as hitchhiking?" You're merely standing in a particular spot waiting for a ride.

Serial killers tend to be white, heterosexual, males in their twenties and thirties. Their killings are part of an elaborate sexual fantasy. They prey on women and children of their same race. Prostitutes, drifters and hitchhikers are their victims of choice. One sick couple would just run over the occasional hitchhiker and continue on their merry way.

its because of the unknow factor

plus you could get robbed, or even killed by being hitchhiker

plus some hitcherhikers have robbed and killed the people who stopped to pick them up

then you dont know if the person who picked you could

be a felon running from the police (its happen!)

etc

its not safe

I don't know of a place, but hitchiking is just bad!

You could get stolen, hurt, killed, kidnapped, lost, or worse.

DON'T HITCHIKE!
