First, it would depend on the size of your tank. You can take the below prices per gallon and multiply them by the size of your tank to figure out the "average price nationally for a tank of gas". For example, if your tank holds 22 Gallons than $2.676 x 22 = $58.872! Now I know why I am so glad that I have used the free military bus service for the last 3 years (Yikes)!

I don't believe the stories about a lack of refineries causing gas to be as high as it is. 4 or 5 years ago gas was 79 cents a gallon here. Regardless of the price of oil now or then, how could gas have been so cheap if there
weren't enough refineries?"
I know I paid 79 cents a gallon in Virginia Beach, VA, about 6 years ago!!!
