At any time of day, you can and probably will hit very slow traffic on I-95 through New York and New Jersey. Just a heads up, look for the Tappan Zee Bridge instead of the George Washington Bridge and avoid a lot of traffic through New York.

Get yourself a motorcycle. :)

Anyways in FL from 5 am to 10 pm is always a bad time, once i was coming home from an amusement park at about 2-3 am and i only saw 5 cars all the way home in the 95 so if you want to go +70 mph you know which is a good time :)

Avoid 95 from NY City to DC. Go inland and drive around them.

You will have traffic delays part of the way no matter when you go. Its just part of the I-95 needing to be widened big time.

If you wat to stay out of traffic, fly.
