well you have a couple options

you could try to catch that new Metro rapid 940 to Union station

at 6:17 am to union station it arrived at 7:23am then board a Metrolink train

for Orange county (its the train going to Oceanside

(but you will only take to Orange station ,arives at 8:49am then you will

transfer to another metrolink train bound for Riverside

departing at 9:35am and arrived at Riverside at 10:24

then you transfer again to RTA bus line 14 at 10:38am

to UCR

there other routes you could take a bit more complicated

(IE you could take the same bus but only as far as the Green Line then board the Green Line to the Norwalk Green Line station then transfer again to the Norwalk Metrolink shuttle

to the Norwalk Metrolink station then the Metrolink as above

you might also want to contact UCR Transportation and Parking dept -they might be able to start a van pool

for you (or perhaps from Torrance)

UCR does have a vanpool program. I'm not sure if there is one from south bay. You may want to check the transportation department's website or call and ask.
